The present conditions of purchase apply to the services proposed on this Site. Our Agency as well as the visitor commit to respect them if he/she chooses our services.The client, when taking the services of Visit To Machu Picchu, accepts the present terms and conditions.

Conditions of Service

The Electronic Ticket issued allows only the entrance to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and / or some of its mountains, depending on the type of ticket purchased. Does not include any type of transportation or guiding service.

Ticket price is in Dollars and it's subject to change without notice.

During purchase

In order to carry out the purchase process, the Client must first check on our website the availability of quotas for the date that you want to enter the city of Machu Picchu, once verified the availability is completed the reservation form.

To complete the required fields of the reservation form, the Client must do it with the data that appear in an official identification document and valid from his place of origin, for example: Passport, DNI, personal identification documents, meat of aliens, etc. . When you enter the citadel of Machu Picchu, you must carry the document with which you make the reservation, as the data of your identification document will be checked against those of the ticket issued.

For every purchase, the Peruvian Government requires that every visitor communicates his/her full name and passport number or a National Identity Document (one or the other called below document) for Peruvians or for people from countries on the border areas which have an agreement with Peru (DNI). No other document is accepted because it would be rejected by the authorities. The same document is required at the entrance of Machu Picchu to avoid identity theft. The visitor is committed to bring his/her document the day of the visit and to make sure it matches the one used during the purchase. In order to avoid any problem, we ask visitors to make a copy of the document used to reserve and to keep it until the day of the visit.

Once the reservation has been sent, the information is verified and a payment format is generated, depending on the payment method chosen. Once the client has made the payment for the entire amount issued, Ticket Machu Picchu will proceed to make the purchase of the Entry Ticket to Machu Picchu; This process takes approximately 24 hours. The ticket of entry in digital format will be sent to the Client to the email that has indicated us. Finalizing the purchase process.

Changes after purchasing

When purchasing entrance tickets for the current or the next season, the visitor gives several information such as the date of the visit, his name, etc. After the payment of the on-line purchase, no information can be changed, without any exception. The type of ticket, the options and the date cannot be changed neither.

Payment methods

Our system accepts several credit cards and they are the only accepted cards: Visa, Mastercard cards and PAYPAL. Personal checks, phone orders, wire transfers and any other payment method are not accepted.

Cancelations and Refunds

We will only make cancellations and refunds of the tickets purchased in our platform and might be accompanied by a partial or total refund.The cancellation comes only at the request of the Client and in writing by email, the Client shall pay a penalty for the same. The distribution of the cancellation is as follows:

  • If the tickets are not in issuing process or have not been issued yet, there will be a 70% refund of the amount paid. 30% Penalty.
  • If the tickets are in issuing process or have already been issued no refund is possible at all. The amount already paid is just lost and the tickets are not usable (they will be refused at the entrance of Machu Picchu). This case also applies if the visitor does not use the ticket and requests a refund afterwards (after the entrance date).
  • In case the respective payment of the reservation has been made and there is no availability of income for the requested date, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded.
  • Exceptionally, the access to archaeological sites might be interrupted or closed due to natural causes (bad weather, landslides or other) or to human causes (strikes or other) beyond our control. In that case, no refunds or changes will be made.

Confidenciality if information

We ensures the confidentiality of the data entered by the Client at the time of booking, the data provided in the payment transaction and the documents sent to our email. These will be used solely and exclusively for the acquisition of the Entry Ticket to Machu Picchu on behalf of the Client before the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

  • Penalty of 25%, if the application is filed 3 – 5 days before the date of entry.
  • Penalty of 15%, if the application is filed 6 – 10 days before the date of entry.
  • Penalty of 10%, if the application is filed from 11 days to more, before the date of entry.

The change and / or modification of data in a ticket, can only be done once. After a change is made, no further changes can be made.

The date change for a day before or one day after the original date of entry can be made at no cost and only once. It is subject to the availability of the ticket type for the requested date.

For the purchase of entrance tickets to Machu Picchu only or with the optional sites, we act on behalf of and with the authorization of our clients.
